The Good Samaritan:
An Angel’s Telling
“Do all spiritual creatures have lessons for us?” I asked my guardian angel, Akiemba.
“When you are so young, yes. You are like a child in the kingdom, ‘Daddy what does that man do?’ you ask. You are then told, ‘He is a blacksmith. Would you like to go talk to him and see what he does?’ On it goes with many in the kingdom as you learn how it functions, what things happen and who does what. You will see things, and learn. Nearly everything is a question and nearly anyone along the way can explain part of the kingdom to you. As you grow, this will shift more and more. But it is not a bad thing. You are familiarizing yourself with your Father’s kingdom, and what will be yours someday.”
“That’s neat,” I replied.
We began walking. As we did, thoughts hit me. “Akiemba, it’s as if everything is truth. Not everything everything, but so many things. Things that even seem contradictory sometimes aren’t, they just fit into different pieces of history when things worked differently. And suddenly they aren’t wrong or contradicting what other belief tells us. It’s like a puzzle, knowing where all these truths fit. Is the world really filled with so much truth?!”
“Yes Little One, the kingdom is abundant. Truth is always nearby to those who seek it. Nothing good is truly rare in the kingdom. This means that if truth is good, which it is, then it is abundant.”
Akiemba spoke in a kind voice. The meaning behind his words moved me as they sank in. “Father hides nothing from his own, he hides things for you. This is why he hides things in plain sight, because then it is never far away from the seeker. It is right there waiting for them. It is perhaps the cleverest trick of all. You humans have it in your mind that you must search far and wide to find things, because they are truly hidden. Such things are not hidden to be found.”
“With your Father, however, things are hidden to be found. The Father puts all things that are needed close to his children, he will never leave you without a way. No good Father would send his children on a journey without provisions. So, he makes sure that your provisions are near you. If they were not, would they really be provisions?”
He went on. “No, because you couldn’t get to what you needed. So you wouldn’t really be taken care of… Yes. It is like this with the good Samaritan. He paid for the injured man’s lodging and needs. Then he left provisions (money) with the inn keeper, instructing him to see that the man was taken care of. ‘If he needs more than what this pays for, put it on my tab and I will pay it when I return.’ So it is with Jesus.”
“These are the instructions we guardian angels were given when Jesus ascended and changed forms. We are the inn keeper he has put you in the care of. We are to see that you are healed and fully recovered from the woundings of this world, and that you reengage with your life and business (of the kingdom). We reinstate you after the enemy had laid waste to your kind.”
I was swirling with the meaning of Akiemba’s words. “Wait, wait, wait! So the wounding is what was done to our species? And Jesus sees us lying on the road in our blood, anoints us, and then gives instructions for angels to care for us so that we are functional again?! That’s what that parable is talking about?”
Akiemba’s demeanor was calm. “On one level, yes. This is what Jesus did. You are to do the same works he did, but on a smaller scale. Jesus was a Jew, but he was from Nazareth, the “wrong” neighborhood in those times, and the son of a presumed illegitimate union. He was rejected like the Samaritans were, {their version of racism.} Jesus came from outside the Jew’s ‘box.’ He was outside of their thinking, and so he was rejected, not much differently than a Samaritan was in those days. This parable had other meanings and purposes. But Jesus was telling a story of what he was doing. My analogy still holds alongside the other interpretations.” (Parables often have layered meanings.)
“Jesus was able to take the workings of the kingdom and highlight specific things in the people to make a point.”
“In this parable, Jesus was largely showing that it is not physical bloodlines that matter, but the character of a man.”
“The Samaritan in the story was close to the injured man, we know this because he is called the man’s neighbor.”
“In this context we see that it is actions and character that make men close to each other.” {Meaning that men of similar character and actions are drawn to each other.}
“Even here, the background of the analogy can have various hints at the kingdom and how it works. In this case, I have shown you the story from the perspective of the inn-keeper.”
“Thank you, Akiemba.” I said to him.
“You’re welcome. And now, I will bid you adieu,” he said with a smile. Soon after the dive faded…

Tomahawk the Griffin (Part 1)
In an instant, a griffin cut in front of us, appearing from out of the clouds. Pieces of them still caught around his body for a moment as if he had just flown through cotton candy. When he was in front of us, Akiemba set me on his back and away we went.

New here?
What if it were possible to have conversations with angels and other spiritual beings? What would they say? What questions would we find ourselves asking them? What if we could pour ourselves a beverage and listen to someone interview them on a podcast or YouTube channel?
These writings are perhaps a glimpse into that very idea. Here I share journal excerpts from my own conversations with angels, I call these experiences “dives…”
Allow me to introduce you to:
Marcus & Akiemba, my two guardian angels who are my primary spiritual “tutors.”
A water dragon named Emerald, who has chosen to live near my home.
Storm, a human who happens to be my amazing husband. :)

As we begin this journey together I ask you to start the same way I did. To hold an open mind and ask yourself this question: is there truth to be found here?
I can’t wait to introduce you to the realm at the edge of our senses!
