Marcus's friend -Part 2

Yet here is a mystery, you humans have a unique capacity to experience and express love in a manner that is different and greater than other beings do. Humans have this strange capacity to become the most loving beings in the cosmos, second only to the God-trio.”

Part 1 - Marcus' Friend

Intro

I saw snow and I mused to myself about how it’s January and everything seems covered by snow, apparently even the spiritual world.. I’ve been here before, wherever here is. There is another being, he is like Marcus, tall but much thinner in build, with the same strange wings that branch off around the elbow creating a kind of fork between forearm and the outer portion of his wings. He is so white there is an eerie, yet strangely beautiful glow about him, much like the eerie white glow of the moon. There are black accents and he feels like he belongs to the night in the same way the stars do.

I began to see snow swirl above the ground and the wind that was blowing became louder to my inner ears than the music I was listening to that aids me with these dives. The being before me had a dusty black robe on, and I glimpsed streaks of black hair within the otherwise white locks. He lifted his long thin fingers, “Welcome,” something like goosebumps rippled up me, if it were not for my past experiences I might have been frightened, this being had a presence that was hard to describe about him.

The power of humanity

He began teaching me. “When you connect to Father and his realms by going within rather than connecting externally, it is like an encrypted line, not much can get to you that you do not want. There are many things ‘outside’ of yourself within the worlds, but there are only certain things within yourself, those are what you let in, and what you share bonds of love (connection) to.”

“Does that mean that I love you?”

“Not exactly, yet in a way... You love Marcus greatly, and I am a friend of him, one you have met, so by extension you have a small amount of love for me yes. See love does that, when you are connected to a person, you also become linked to everyone they love as well. For love tends to spill over and you will love those who bring light and joy into the lives of someone you love. This is the wonder of love, and why it is powerful. It can link the entire world, but not in an obligatory way, nor a way that ties people down into legal cages.”

Our conversation meandered for a while, and I eventually asked him. “You mentioned something called a shadow-voice, what is that?”

“It is when someone treats you certain ways and you gain a kind of pattern to those memories, sometimes these patterns take on a kind of life that echoes within you. They are like ghosts within your consciousness, sometimes it is ‘the voice of your mother in your head,’ even though she is not there speaking with you. Other times it is the memories you are haunted by that still speak to you.”

“Tell me more about these shadow-voices. I thought maybe some of them were the voice that has come to embody the law within you. Like it might be the law you have integrated within yourself, but it has your mother’s voice because she was your primary law-giver in your life? What are you saying these voices are?”

“You are not wrong. See that is one of the problems with the law, it always takes on characters like that if you will.

The law is like Artificial Intelligence, you learn it and it sort of learns too, and develops patterns of behavior -or demands for certain behavior that is. The law within you ‘learns’ and through much pattern recognition begins to extrapolate and grow new laws and demands that fit the pattern. In this way the law always grows and just like the legends of AI’s that grow too large and powerful inevitably becoming something their very creator cannot control, so you too suffer the same fate under your own personal law if given enough time.”

“This is why people of the law become more rigid and brittle over time, and why they only become more and more trapped within their framework. It is the way of the law. Is it not said that ‘the law brings death?’ And we have taught you that

to become brittle is death.”

“In the same way that AI grows larger and more powerful until the ones who built it cannot control it, so too the law eventually slaves even kings and religious leaders in its grasp until none is powerful enough to overturn it and do as they please. Until no one can actually do what is right...

For the law creates such a web of required behavior that becomes irrespective of what is truly right or wrong, it only seeks what itself (the law) demands,

-this is the only thing it cares about: making demands and having them met. So it keeps making demands, more and more of them as it goes along. Some try to restrain it, and this slows it’s growth, but that is all that can be done. Some try to hack it back and remove some of it, but it is like eliminating a certain kind of tax, it will soon grow back with the new replacement also in place and you will have two heads where you cut off one. For no tax is ever taken away except for a brief time, and usually it is ‘replaced’ with a better one, to keep the people happy, but soon the old will grow back too. This is why Father warned people about having a king instead of allowing him to be their government. But in the same way that people made a mistake by demanding the law - the lesser thing at Sinai, they followed the same path and demanded a human king -the lesser thing. Yet this should not surprise you, for laws and empires go hand and hand. So too does religion, actual religion, the Kingdom was never meant to be a religion, but it was made into such by empires, if such a thing is even possible. It indeed is a bastardization of what faith and the kingdom is, and of the ways of love, the same way that the law is a bastardization of love.”

“I am not saying the law if bad, but it is a poor image of the thing it is modeled after (the way of love) and it has many problems. One of which being the way that it grows and the more it grows, the less it looks like love -which it was modeled after.”

“So when things had grown so out of control that no human could control the growth of the law any longer, and because the law was now preventing people from entering the into the kingdom and into certain spiritual realities, that’s when Jesus stepped in, to bring the law down, back into submission. And he set up a new and better way,

-one that does not tolerate law. He made sure this new system had no law, no matter how small, for that was the only way to avoid repeating the same mistakes as before. And this is why he no longer honors the law at all. If someone follows the law, he does not honor this, for the books of the law is now closed, never to be opened again. It is like a contract that has been rendered void. However, in an interesting twist of fate, God sometimes will honor the heart behind the law-abider. For if this is their way of truly seeking him, God can work with that. Yet it is a difficult process to untangle someone from the law, they must not hold it in their heart, for this is the thing that turns the heart to stone. If they come to Jesus however, he can heal the ‘illness’ that has made their heart hard and unfeeling, you ‘eat his flesh’ (communion and relationship with him) and you gain a heart of flesh again. See your heart is not really your own anymore, you take in Jesus’ flesh and it grows a new heart within you. So you have a heart modeled off of his that beats within you now. This becomes a mysterious thing very quickly, because sometimes this strange heart that now beats in your chest does the things his would do, not necessarily what you would have done. And so mysteriously, love wells up within you from time to time, and you get to experience Jesus’ love within your own body, even though the love is his. Yet as it flows through you, it transforms the rest of you. You like feeling this love and soon you have it for the person too. You have experienced it and you begin to grow your own love for that person. This is the way of the kingdom...”

“Do you know this love?” I asked.

“How could I speak of it in such a way, if I did not know it?

His tone then saddened, “yet few of you reach this capacity while you are still on earth, it is a shame.” He hung his head slightly.

“Love also grows, but it grows life, it does not bring death. And it increases in complexity as it grows, for the more people you love, the more complex the social structures and ramifications become. Yet this is the way with everything Father grows: it starts off simply and become more complex. This is called development, and it is something nature – including humans, is meant to do. Love is what creates this developmental pattern...”

“Would you like me to make a bonfire?” he asked.

“Yes please,” I said surveying the snow covered landscape.

A yellow-green flame was soon crackling between us. “Sit,” he gestured.

We sat for a moment, and I was beginning to grow tired. “It seems like people are getting trapped under the law again.” I said partly to myself and also to him.

“It does, yet there is a key difference. Now, they are the laws of men and they are only enforced by men. Before these were the laws of gods, and they were enforced spiritually, not just by spiritual beings but breaking the law could also have spiritual consequences. Fortunately for you, breaking a law in your system does not have spiritual consequences, at least not in any relation to the laws of men. See, now if you kill a man you are tormented within yourself because you violated your own spirit. It is not because you violated the ‘law’ if you will. These new ‘laws’ are really just the ways of love which are written on your heart, and when you violate them, you know it. The softer your heart, the more you are are aware of it, and the more it restrains you from violating it and then suffering as a result. So you see, you can either suffer because you have empathy and it is painful to feel so much at times, or you can suffer because you do not have empathy and instead you violate your very self. To tear oneself from within is a terrible thing to endure. So now a murder suffers because his own heart within him torments him, for he violated it. But this is nothing your human laws can do. This is why people sometimes become so upset when they violate a law of love that your society does not condemn. Because something else speaks to them that they have done wrong, yet no external man does, and they wish to scream their supposed innocence to feel better, yet they cannot because their inner-self testifies differently.”

“In times past, (when gods enforced laws) if you violated a law, there may have been things that happened to your soul or spirit because those elements were part of the contract. Also, most laws were enforced by deities then, and they had powers men do not, they could exact terrible punishments on those who broke their laws, and they could also use powers of force and manipulation that would sometimes keep their subjects in line if they wished. Your government only dreams of these powers. But they reach for them as we speak and are trying to grasp at them. They are trying to become gods themselves. They will not succeed to the same degree, but they will try, and they will attempt to consult gods to teach them how exactly to do such things, and these gods who were stripped and taken from their places of authority when Jesus defeated them, they will see this as a way to get it back, they will attempt to aid the governments in their quest. But it will not get as far as it did in the past...”

I then began to stare at the fire again as the dive faded away...
