Movement Is Life
I was on a nature walk and came across a tree that struck my interest. I introduced myself and began conversing with him. As I did, I could feel movement pulling my body forward and back in a swaying motion. Eventually it pulled me further forward into a holding position, the energy holding me in what otherwise would not have been a balance-point. It was as if the tree was pulling on me, perhaps his way of saying “hi.”
During our conversation he told me, “there are many ways to be dead. Humans tend to call a thing dead when bodily function has ceased entirely. But a person can be emotionally dead or mentally dead, there are layers to the concept. But we, as those who are connected to Jesus, should be in the process of becoming more and more alive.”
Then I was told that “life and motion are related concepts.”
“When a thing is dead it stops moving. Movement is closely related to life. But stagnation is the beginning of death…”
