Why I created noteworthy posts
List of February’s Articles. (Catch up on any posts you may have missed.)
I plan to add hyperlinks to the table of contents. These will appear on the website version after publication. (I have not found a way to add them to the emails. If you want to make use of that feature, click the top of the email to jump to the webpage version.)
Why I Created “Noteworthy” Posts
One of the things I dislike about content creation is that many seem to employ the strategy: more content = better.
I don’t want filler content, I want the gold. I seek out condensed, high value content that is organized in a useful way. Those values were barriers to creating Interviewing Angels. I had to wrestle through all the strategies for success that I didn’t feel right about emulating. I decided I was going to ignore the mainstream advice and do this publication in a way that resonates with the core of who I am.
I can’t stomach most marketing strategies and games, in fact that type of behavior often causes me to disengage, and I’m betting I’m not the only human who behaves that way… I believe what I am giving has value, so it will speak for itself. If it’s truly serving a need people will find it.
I’m not here to create an addiction. I’m here to enrich your life.
That caused me to wonder, how do I navigate the social media side of substack? I enjoy getting likes and comments and honestly those are incredibly valuable for building a blog. I’m happy to see you when you want to be here. But I don’t want my readers to feel obligated to create a substack account and sift through my notes to mine for things.
Then it dawned on me:
What if I pulled the gold from the comments and my notes feed, and curated an organized post every month or so? I’ll be experimenting with that very thing here. Let me know what you think of this idea in the comments, or by hitting reply to this email.
Reflections
The difference between sacrifice and loss is this:
Sacrifice is a chosen loss for a greater gain.
Loss comes without gain.
That is why we do not grieve when we choose to purchase things with our money -we have chosen to sacrifice money for a service or good that is of greater value to us than the money. (All right, maybe some of us grieve because inflation is making that exchange more difficult… But you get the idea.)
This means that understanding allows us to transmute what appeared to be loss into meaningful sacrifice, and suddenly surrender becomes easy because we see how it leads to greater gains. We have moved from surrender as a loss of self, to surrender as the gateway to meaningful connection and power…
This is the power of gaining true understanding.

My husband Storm is an empath. He once compared going out in public without first managing your own energy to "not brushing your teeth, and bothering everyone with your bad breath." I loved that illustration so much!

I remember the time after my grandfather’s funeral, our home was filled with flowers while my family grieved. As I surveyed the beauty I suddenly understood the tradition, the flowers are not for the one who died, they are for the family. Bringing beauty to them soothes the pain, and reminds them that not everything in the world is breaking. It helps them process the grief…
Announcements
March seems to be the month for starting new series, as I have two of them coming up. On Tuesday (3/17/26) I’ll kick off -
My New Series: Portals
I’ll be sharing a series of dive excerpts that talk about how we as humans serve as portals for the divine, how angels use us as doorways, and how we stitch the spiritual to the physical creating a synergy between the two.
I’ll open the series with a dive where a water-spirit teaches me about the “migration” of spiritual creatures, and when they come nearest to the physical realm…
I’ve been so excited to share this series with you! Chapters will be released every Tuesday until the series completes.

Then, on Thursday I’ll be releasing a new collaborative project called:
Living With Dragons
Where Alysia Moonrise & Caitlin-The Hag Under the Wood & I, will be kicking off our brand new series Living with Dragons on Thursday (3/19/26). Here, each of us will share our unique perspectives and experiences on what in the world it’s like to live with a dragon spirit in our day-to-day lives. Each episode will be timed with the turning of the seasons. Episode 1 is releasing the day before the equinox. Episode 2 will release sometime in the summer.
This series is going to be a ton of fun as we delve into the ways that our dragons are reshaping our lives and the lessons they are teaching us! :) Subscribe to have it sent to you.
Highlights from the Comments
Gina - Mentored By Nature: Pause now, softly close the eyes and tune in to the frequency of beauty. Becoming aware of how beauty feels in the heart, and in the body.
Soft. Radiant. Full. Expansive.
“Beauty mends the heart and keeps it soft while it is an open wound that is healing. In the same way that salt preserves food and keeps bad bacteria from growing, beauty keeps the heart soft and guards against bitterness and a hardening of the heart.”
From: Beauty: A Medicine For Stress (Part 2 of A Dragon & A Dryad)
-Thank you for the kind words Gina. :) (Note was originally published here.)

Nancy Moelk: I enjoyed this. I was contemplating the question of “what do humans do” {a question posed by Emerald in the dive} and I thought of a statement one of my early mentors spoke of. That is that we are here to give and receive love. I think the process of learning how to do that in the midst of everything else we do is what “we do” either terribly, fairly or exceptionally. And probably one of all three at times.

Shortly after I was inspired to release an early dive titled “Planets: a brief guide to our solar system,” my husband Storm stumbled across some relevant information and shared this comment.
Storm: The following is an interesting paper I recently discovered titled “Evidence of a Massive Thermonuclear Explosion on Mars in the Past, The Cydonian Hypothesis, and Fermi’s Paradox” by John E. Brandenburg.
It discusses evidence of a possible nuclear war on Mars that eradicated all life on the planet. It is a very interesting read. I couldn’t help but think of this dive. If you want to skip the more technical bits, then just read the Abstract on page 1 and the Summary and Conclusions on page 46.

Quote from my Upcoming Book
Imagine if we smelled a gas leak in our kitchen and our eyes bullied us into thinking that our sense of smell was invalid because we could not see the gas. Smelling is not seeing, yet it is smell, not sight, that will save you from an explosion.
Sometimes our heart (and intuition) is like our nose… My gut knew something that my mind couldn’t sense, just like a nose with a gas leak...February’s Articles

I am someone who considers myself to be a “spiritual scientist” meaning: I believe spiritual phenomenon and experiences have the potential to tap into observable truths. Which are similar to the principles that we base science and mathematics upon. I very much enjoyed reading this experience.
Nameless Wind: I consider myself an esoteric atheist. This means I only believe after direct experience. And indeed that this capacity of experience can be mystically cultivated.
In meditation, as the mind wanders upon Christ, a light fills the inner sight and enters the heart centre, becoming palpably warm.
I have nothing to do with doctrine or human institution. But I am grateful Christ is indeed a genuine Light, of which we humans have far too little. (Quoted from.)

The Northern lights are linked to her guardian angel…I love that.
Emerald once told me that “spirits {including dragons} play in the auroras…”

How Faith Actually Works by WESLEIGH | HEALER & MEDIUM
I resonated with this post on so many levels.
I have had many arguments with those who identify as Christians about how most churches teach fear more than they teach faith. Likewise, they also do not tend to promote actual experience with the Divine and the Kingdom. Head knowledge over experiential faith. We can easily see the lack of fruit which demonstrates the ineffectiveness of that approach...
I used to have a mixture of head knowledge and experiences myself because I was born with abilities to perceive the spiritual realm, but things were complicated in my up-bringing. Now that I channel angels, my faith has become rock solid as the article said. You can’t talk someone out of such deep experiences. The change created by that kind of faith will leave no corner of our lives untouched.
Wesleigh’s words reminded me of several things my angels have told me (each of which is from various upcoming posts.)
“Hope → Faith: These two work together in layers, if you need to strengthen your faith, don’t try to ‘muster up more faith.’ You should start with hope, because hope unlocks faith… Build hope and it will turn into faith. This is why testimonies are so powerful.”
“Seeking requires trusting,” Marcus, my guardian angel told me. “If you are not trusting, you cannot seek properly.”
“Salvation is not a prayer, not a destination such as heaven, it is a never-ending process of growth... Salvation is something that comes from inside you. It is then expressed outwardly, it is lived out.”

Steve Macari: The key turning point in your healing journey is when you stop blaming other people, groups, things, circumstances, etc. for you state of being.
Actually, this is probably the true start of your healing journey. Everything before was a warm-up of sorts. This is when the real trials and lessons begin.
In some ways, when we have this realization, we are blaming ourselves, but be careful not to fall into the victim role here.
It is a bit paradoxical because it is your fault, but it is not your fault.
It is more of an inner strength that arises, that lets you face what you need to face, let go of what you need to let go of, see what you need to see, and more.
It is not a straight line. You will regress and start blaming others, making excuses, but there is a fundamental shift that occurs when you have this realization.
You cross a line and can’t go back… (Quoted from here.)
Willow
I agree with what Steve says about being a victim. The problem with being a victim is that victims are powerless by the very definition of the word. Meaning that if you are a victim, you are powerless to grow, change, move on etc.. We have to be very careful about taking up the “victim” label so that we do not inadvertently give our power away.
I’ve had several opportunities to claim victim-hood. One of them being that I was very ill, to the point of being bedridden for several years during my 20’s. I could have said I was a victim, what happened was unfair and “wrong.” But I made a hard choice, to keep my power and seek out healing. To consider the fact that what had happened might not have been mere chance, there might have been a reason…
That gave me the power to seek out the root and to find healing by doing so. It also meant I had to grieve deeply because those years were lost in many ways… But those choices served me well…eventually I was miraculously healed.
That time served as a dark night of the soul. There was a redemption of those years and a new life followed. And now, I wouldn’t trade that path because of where it has led me…
Songs My Dragon Likes
I’m always looking for ways to make my connection with my angels more real, to bring them into my daily life. Connection to the divine is no different than with physical beings: time spent together strengthens our bond.
When I play a song Emerald likes, she will often cut into my awareness and let me know. I have since then acquired a collection of songs that I play for her when I’m doing things like house chores or driving somewhere. Doing this is a great way to invite her into the more mundane parts of my life.
If you are looking for ways to connect with dragons this is a great way to reach out! Or to strengthen the connection you already have with your own spiritual beings…

This month I’m thanking:
Alysia Moonrise For her dragon artwork. I’m so grateful to have an artist who channels dragon energy into the images she creates for my excerpts. Also, Emerald thinks she’s pretty cool.
