Noteworthy - October 2025
Catch up on the good stuff while still having a life.
Why I created “Noteworthy” posts:
One of the things I dislike about content creation is that many seem to employ the strategy: more content = always better.
I don’t want more fluff, I want the gold. I prefer to see condensed, high value content that is organized in a useful way. Those values were barriers to creating Interviewing Angels. I had to wrestle through all the reasons I didn’t want to be what many other content creators are. I eventually decided that I was going to break all the rules and do this publication in a way that resonates with the core of who I am.
I can’t stomach most marketing strategies and games, in fact that type of behavior often causes me to disengage, and I’m betting I’m not the only human who behaves that way. I believe what I am giving has value, it will speak for itself. If it’s truly serving a need people will find it.
I’m not here to create an addiction. I’m here to enrich your life.
That caused me to wonder, how do I navigate the social media side of substack? -AKA the “notes” feed? Some of what I share there I don’t share anywhere else.
I’ve used this short-form space to share:
Quotes from my dives that stand alone and are unlikely to make it into a full-sized post.
Brief moments of spiritual connection that invade my day: words of advice from Marcus, or funny things Emerald has said.
Or maybe a vision of a beautiful creature that feels too short to be a post unto itself.
I also share wisdom / reflections from my life as a natural born mystic.
I enjoy getting likes and comments on my notes and honestly those are incredibly valuable for building a blog. I’m happy to see you when you want to be here. But I don’t want my readers to feel obligated to create a substack account and sift through my notes to mine for things. Then it dawned on me:
What if I pulled the important stuff from my notes feed and the comments sections, then curated it into an organized post every months or so?
I’ll be experimenting with that very thing here. (Let me know what you think in the comments, or by hitting reply to this email.)
Spiritual experiences
The whispering of trees,
The aliveness in wild nature,
The piercing expression in the eyes of a wolf,
The palpable energy as a thunderstorm rolls in,
The magical golden light a few hours before twilight
And the insects that dance in that same golden light.
...These are the ways I first sensed magic as a child and my first awareness of the other side of the veil.
Nature calls us and it is here that you first start awakening to magic and your unknown abilities.
When you reconnected to yourself and nature, this is where you become part of magic itself...
~~~
Things I have seen in heaven:
Beings who are covered in shimmering, liquid gold.
Creatures who are wrapped in flames from the glory.
Humanoids and mythical creatures with blue-skin, basking in the light…
~~~
Why you shouldn’t argue with your spirit-guides… 😆
Me: Blurts out an assumption I believe to be true. (But apparently Akiemba disagrees...)
Akiemba: “With what are you making this assessment?”
Me: “I don’t know.”
Akiemba: “Then how do you know it is true?”
Me: Sighs, “I see your point.”
Akiemba: “Do not make assessments where you know you lack the tools, it will lead you down strange paths.”
Songs my dragon likes
I’m always looking for ways to make my connection with my angels more real, to bring them into my daily life. Connection to the divine is no different than with physical beings: time spent together strengthens our bond. When I play a song she likes, she will often cut into my awareness and let me know.
If you are looking for ways to interact with spirit dragons this is a great way to reach out! Or to strengthen the connection you already have with your own spiritual beings…
Reflections
I remember being a young girl seeing my grandma’s most recent edition of the old magazine called Guideposts which of course sat in her bathroom. Often it features mysterious stories of angel interactions, or at least stories that left you wondering if the mysterious helper who appeared was an angel. I remember reading them from time to time, and thinking to myself “what is it with angels and cars? I’d LOVE to meet an angel but I don’t want to almost die in a car crash or have my Mom’s van break down in a really scary location. Why do angels only seem to make an appearance when emergencies are involved?”
My life path took many twists and turns before I finally got my wish… and then one day my personal angel appeared during a meditation session. That day launched an entirely new path for my life and I’ve been interacting ever since...
If you’re curious like I was, think of my posts as the stories that open your heart to new possibilities, much like that little magazine did for me. What if they could shift your path, if ever so subtly, onto a new trajectory toward your own spiritual experiences? I’m so happy to share these stories where angels show up in a lot more places than our personal emergencies!

I find many in their pursuit of spiritually forget that embodiment is part of that process.
True power is found in balance between body and soul/spirit.
These are not actually in opposition as it is so easy to think.
Instead they are beautifully complimentary like the ocean and the land… for where the two meet the magical place called the shore is created.
It is here where the two come together that magic flourishes in more abundance than when either are separate…

I’ve been working on trying to use my intuition to schedule things. To pause and see if I should put something on my calendar or not, and if so, when is a good time to do it? I’ve avoided needing to cancel things due to unforseen circumstances this way because my intuition told me to avoid scheduling things on days that would not have worked...

My angels speak of love like a power, sort of how we speak of electricity.
It is a force and an energy that powers and connects a great many things!
It is not an abstract concept, or something that is soft and fluffy like cotton-candy.
It is an energy that affects your behavior, it inspires and energizes us to do great things on the behalf of another.
And it stops us from harming those we love.
It is both a protective and connective energy.
It is why love sums up all laws and every spiritual teaching.
Learn to love well and everything else will fall into place..
Quotes from Storm
“Arrogance is ignorance + confidence. And that’s why it’s so dangerous.”
Quotes from my upcoming book
~ Experiencing the divine is our natural state of being! Thus achieving that state simple: find ways to heal and restore balance, which will result in wholeness and peace. These automatically restore our connection and open us to a variety of spiritual experiences. ~

Comment From: Elior Finlan
What I found interesting is that when I interact with other men in a more feminine mode in our modern western world, they often get very irritated and feel uncomfortable.
There are two men I have in mind specifically and when I think of the interaction with them, it is as if only half of my expression is allowed and the other half is too chaotic, too unpredictable, too unstructured. I am not doing or saying anything outrageous, it just doesn’t neatly fit in a framework. Sometimes it is fluid, associative, circular or purely decorative.
Something about that seems to scare a lot of people.
My reply:
I find many individuals are only comfortable interacting with one energy type whether it is masculine or feminine. Many seem to have trouble being fluid and moving from one type to the other as needed. Either gender often perceives the energy they are not comfortable with as threatening or uncomfortable. This proclivity to be stuck in one mode or the other seems to invade many aspects of life…
Reply from Elior Finlan:
I think it has something to do with a lack of love and trust. Without love and trust, anything that is a polar opposite looks alien and dangerous.
When we for example enter into a romantic relationship with another human, then we don‘t know if we will get hurt, if we will be protected, if we will be nourished. We have to trust to find that out. And if we get hurt, a lot of us stop giving that trust at some point. A lot of us stop coming from a place of love.
I think an equivalent process happens in many aspects of life.

Thank you for the lovely conversation Elior! :)

Liz, a friend of mine, texted me some of her thoughts on this same post as well. I found them very thought provoking so I asked if I could share a summary here. -Thanks Liz :)

“If you are not integrated with nature, she will not show you her feminine side.” -Marcus
When I was a Christian, I had this theory about nature and the feminine. Adam was cursed through the land, while Eve was cursed through her body… Science has shown that men are more likely to have nature/natural disaster related accidents/injuries/fatalities while women are more likely to report PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other related mental health disorders.
It seemed strange to me that women’s own physical forms would create pain that is so indescribable, the human brain literally cannot remember the pain after childbirth. But men just... have to dig in some dirt a little more? It seemed like the curse was cruelly unjust, favoring men highly.
But then I looked closer... I wondered if perhaps the curse the Christian’s god put on humanity was deeper than what we’ve acknowledged... Maybe women ARE connected to nature...
You look at history and find women in nature in MUCH more subtle ways, primarily focused on well being. You have the witches and the wise women, the females who tame the wild animals and tend to nurturing the crops and weak. Maybe women are not dominating nature because our ways are, by nature, like the night. We are nurturing, soft, gentle. There’s an ease, and ebb and flow to women in nature. There’s a natural instinct and something extremely intuitive to women in nature. But it is so quiet because we do not suffer and struggle to connect with nature. It’s not a challenge or something to overcome, as it is for men. Because, unlike men, we weren’t cursed to desire a connection we lost in nature...

How to observe mysteries
“A great many creatures and mysteries only come out if you coax them, and observe them gently, in the soft, silvery moonlight.”

@Mark Groves & @Angell Deer I’m not sure if you will get a notification. I featured a note from each of you in my "noteworthy post (monthly highlights from my notes feed.) I’m still working out the kinks, but I felt your notes were worthwhile enough to mention.
(PS it shows up fine on the web, but seems glitchy in the app, only generating a link, any ideas for improving that feature would be welcome. )
Thank you for the mention and for the lovely conversation you referenced!
