Reflections
Note from: 5/6
I prefer to use the term “divine family” to represent what some call “the Trinity.”
Which is made up of:
Father - aka “God,”
Mother - the spirit of Wisdom (also called the Holy spirit by some) who is the feminine form in the family.
She is also represented as Mother Earth.
And Jesus their son who walked this earth…
Here each gender is present.
This concept has brought me deep healing because it has restored the feminine into the divine, allowing me to finally feel that I belong.
It has also helped me find my path as a woman…
Understanding God as a family that is connected through love has helped restore balance to my own psychology and emotions…
“Father, ...you loved me (Jesus) before the creation of the world. I made known your name so that the love you have loved me with may be in them…” -John 17:24-26
Note from: 5/12
When you view life as an experiment then even failures become learning opportunities… :)
Note from: 5/19
I began interacting with angels shortly before covid hit.
I began “cocoon-ing” to explore these new experiences, allowing myself time to grow into them.
Soon afterwords, the rest of the world felt like it followed suit. The quarantine hit and they joined alongside me in their own cocoons.
It was surreal....
As I reflect on my own stories and those of others I find myself wondering who else had a spiritual breakthrough around the time of the pandemic?
If you experienced a spiritual shift prior to, during, or just after the covid-lockdown, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
Note from: 5/19
I believe that many of us learn best through story-telling.
That’s why I share about my journey as a mystic. Through deep presence in my own experience, I empower you to notice nuances in your own journey that you may have overlooked. Thus, enabling you to deepen your connection to the spirit realm…
Announcements
When I started Interviewing Angels my guides offered a gift to you, my readers.
They said that they would be willing to visit you, if you would like.
They also said, that they would be willing to help you connect to your own dragons or angels.
If you would like me to send Emerald (my water dragon), Akiemba or Marcus (my two guardian angels) to you, leave me a comment below 🙂

I’ve created a new topical collection for Interviewing Angels called “Deep Healing.” These are dives that have touched my heart and brought new levels of freedom to me.
I’ve also included dives where my angels teach about what deep healing is and how we can bring it to ourselves and others.
The collection will automatically update whenever I publish a dive that fits into this category.
~~~
I just re-vamped my home page!
You can now browse my dives by:
Dragons (find everything dragon related under this page.)
Or follow a specific spirit that I interact with, such as Marcus or Emerald (under “dive messengers”)
If you’re new to Interviewing Angels, I’ve also added a “Start Here” collection which will introduce you to the key players in my dives, create a jumping off point.
Check out my Site Index to find all of the above, or visit my homepage from a web browser (not the app.)
Sneak Peaks for my Book
Excerpt:
Our minds are particularly skilled at keeping us safe in all manner of ways, including prophetically. Because we live in a culture that is hostile to spirituality (this includes the prophetic/psychic etc.) most of us who are born with natural abilities quickly learn that there are ways we can and cannot express our gifts safely. This is where our mind comes in and develops defense mechanisms to keep us safe.
For me, I have often passed-off spiritual insights as reading body language. I attributed the giveaway as something physical. I rarely admitted the actual ways that I attained such insights. This is because when I did so, people often didn’t believe me and sometimes reacted very negatively.
Exercise:
If you were born with natural gifting, you will need to become aware of your own defense strategies. Thank your mind for keeping you safe and verbally shed anything that is no longer needed in your new circumstances.
Name whatever those outdated defenses are specifically, thanking and laying down each one.
As a spiritually gifted individual, you must be able to separate your defenses from your original insights in order to function accurately in your gifting.
Finding safe places to practice your prophetic skills will be very useful to grow toward this aim…
Sometimes we do not listen to our inspirations… A section in my upcoming book talks about my own process with that, how I sometimes battle with spirit-insight. This is for a variety of reasons, including inconvenience.
We can remove barriers to inspiration. And we can also create a lifestyle that cultivates it. For example, being overly uptight and precise about objectives stifles our creative flow. Inspiration sometimes goes “outside the box,” meaning that allowing space for those non-conformist approaches allows spirit to flow more freely.
I’ll be sharing more in the future so stay tuned. :)
This is genuinely so … powerful. I got shivers while I read it. I know you’re strongly connected to dragon energy, and I felt it here. You are a strong alchemist ✨ your story is beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your story. I didn’t want to stop reading. Change and the unknown can be scary, but I’ve learned to embrace them so deeply that I now welcome anything that has the potential to lead me somewhere better or more aligned. Don’t get me wrong, I love comfort and hard seasons can really hurt, but looking back, the endings always seem to make the struggle worth it.
I agree - we truly need each other to create life (and I agree that this is true in all we touch, not just through reproduction).
The state of the world is so dire precisely because we have forgotten that. We don’t value life in any way as a society.
May’s Articles
“Women are creatures of vaguer things: feelings and hidden mysteries. Women hold many secrets, they are more mysterious creatures than men. This is one of the ways women are made in the image of God: they are rich creatures, sensitive and intuitive and filled with mysteries. They wish to be sought out and searched, and those who truly love them and get to know them, they are rewarded with rich secrets…”
Life Paths: The Prophet, the Noble or the Poor - What does it mean to be in a poor cultural state (this is not the same as economic status.) And what does it mean to walk the path of the prophet or mystic? Find out in this dive.
Do You Want To Be Healed? - Thresholds - Here I shared about a time when I was given a choice to step into healing during my 4 years of severe illness in my 20’s:
Each of us has a moment in their life where they too are asked if they want to be healed… Moments like these bring us to a threshold. There we must decide if we desire to be whole strongly enough to pay a price for it…
There is usually a reason why we have stayed.
And there is usually a reason why something in our lives is bleeding.
That is when we must weigh out the question in our own hearts… Do we like our life the way that it is? Or do we wish to do the work, to lay those reasons aside and step into a new life?
Content from others that’s worth mentioning.
Note from Mandy Morris
I wonder how many women spend their lives trying to earn the right to feel beautiful while already bearing the image of the One who made beauty itself.
So very true! My angels once told me that “to be a woman and to be beautiful are one and the same…”
Willow:
I love what Dizzying Speed says below. That “when something annoys me, I turn inward.” This is SUCH an excellent practice!
I too do the same, especially with content creation, so that I can sculpt something here that IS different. I want to be aware when something grates on me of why that is, so that I don’t do the same thing to my readers.
I think the response of the marketer betrays his personal value system. “Better” is defined by one’s values. So in the marketer’s case, he seems to value numbers, but in Dizzying Speed’s case he values uniqueness, honesty, and depth. I would argue that many on substack are creating “better” content than those who have huge followings, because I tend to rate things on quality. Others would disagree because they are measuring for different values (quantity.)
Our culture is great at measuring according to quantity, but it struggles to measure qualitatively…. And there is where the opinions begin to diverge…
Note from Dizzying Speed of a Cup of Tea
Someone just offered to rewrite one of my blog to make it more popular. I said no. Then they replied, “Okay, but you deserve better.”
Better what? Is a few hundred readers really not enough? Or would 1,000—or 10,000—make it “better”?
I’ll be honest—it annoyed me. And whenever something annoys me, I turn inward and ask why. It took some reflection, but here’s where I landed:
Here on Substack, I keep coming across remarkable people. Individuals. Unique voices. Beautiful writing. And just like the whole universe is reflected in a single drop of water, it’s present in every single person.
So if I can offer something meaningful to even one person through what I write—that’s already a miracle. Why would 10,000 be somehow “better” than one?
Of course, the reason it got to me is that, deep down, I was still chasing “better,” even while knowing that something about that didn’t feel right. That comment simply held up a mirror. And for that, I’m grateful.
And to all of you here on Substack—thank you. For your diversity, for your individuality, and for sharing unique thoughts and deep feelings that truly touch me and make me reflect. It’s an incredible feeling to be part of this community.
Steve’s article shares a fascinating experience.
I attended a lecture a while back by a martial arts instructor. He talked about the history of budo and other martial arts.
He said something that stayed with me... He believed many of the martial art forms are something natural, that they spontaneously emerge in individuals. Even though empires and others have attempted to snuff the various practices out from time to time. Yet they continue to emerge again and again, in similar manners across that part of the world. Steve’s experience reminds me of his theory.
I once heard a rapper who was illuminatingly honest. He confessed in one of his songs that he wanted to move on from all of his pain and trauma, but rapping about abuse and anger were what made him famous... They were the reasons why people liked him. He said he didn’t know who he would be without that anger and pain anymore. He also feared losing his audience if he moved forward with his life.
I think that’s a real trick with healing, we have to be careful that we don’t let the wounds or even the act of healing itself become part of our identity. When that is the case we won’t move on to the next phase of our lives. We will stay in a spiral instead...
I’m always looking for ways to make my connection with my angels more real, to bring them into my daily life. Connection to the divine is no different than with physical beings: time spent together strengthens our bond.
If you are looking for ways to connect with dragons this is a great way to reach out.
